Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Trace is a creative tool for turning GPX routes into animated films and images.
Publisher and license
Trace is published by La Compagnie des Internets Bordelaise, a French SAS, SIREN 934 021 403. See our legal information.
For apps obtained through the Mac App Store, Apple’s standard license applies unless a custom license is expressly provided on the app’s store listing. See Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement and the applicable Apple Media Services Terms. This page does not replace those agreements.
Purchases
Pricing, availability, and requirements are shown on the store listing at the time of purchase. Apple handles store billing and refund requests through reportaproblem.apple.com, without limiting your statutory rights.
Using Trace
Trace requires a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 27 or later. An internet connection is required to download geographic data. Coverage, accuracy, imagery dates, and availability depend on the data providers.
Trace is designed for visual creation. Its weather effects and illustrated terrain are not forecasts or real-time ground conditions. Do not rely on its output for navigation, safety decisions, or as your sole source of information when planning a trip.
Your content
You retain your rights to the content you import. You are responsible for having the rights needed to use and share your routes, photos, fonts, and other media.
Third-party maps, imagery, and geographic data remain subject to their respective licenses. Keep the attributions included in previews and exports. Using Trace does not transfer ownership of third-party content.
Saving and availability
Save your projects regularly and maintain appropriate backups. Trace may change as features and fixes are released. Third-party map services may change or become unavailable.
Nothing in these terms excludes any mandatory warranty or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Privacy and support
Read our Privacy Policy for information about local files and map requests. Visit Support for help.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law, subject to the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence and the terms applicable to purchases from Apple.
